After a difficult dating past we decided to give SALT a try. We matched and started talking in December 2024. The app made it easy for us to find someone who had many similarities with you and we found that in each other, in personality and in hobbies but most importantly, in faith. We instantly hit it off and the more we spoke the more we were on the same page on the important issues. Despite the 150 mile distance between each other we decided to arrange a meeting in January 2025.
The meeting confirmed what we had both thought about each other. We both felt very comfortable together and did not want our date to end. The separate journey home allowed us a lot of time to reflect but by the end of the date we had both agreed that we felt our meeting was from God’s direction. We have now been dating for 6 months and have met each other’s families and all got along. We’re still dating at quite a distance away from each other but phone/video calling, messaging and travelling to each other has not felt like a chore nor an impossibility, as our love of God is at the centre of this relationship and he can make all things work. We are now looking forward to what the future holds. We praise God for this relationship and thank SALT for allowing us to connect.
2025 Update
Charlotte and I wanted to send a quick update. We married in November 2025 and I moved up to Deeside. I quit my job and went back to university to train as a Primary School Teacher. We are also now both teaching in Sunday School in our church.
