Sometimes, we need to step out of the daily grind and step into something extraordinary—something that renews our faith, fills our hearts, and reminds us that we’re part of a much bigger story. That’s exactly what happens every year at the Big Church Festival (BCF), a vibrant gathering of believers who come together to celebrate Jesus, worship through incredible music, and build life-changing connections.

Nestled in the breathtaking Wiston Estate in West Sussex, England, BCF has grown to become a highlight for Christians worldwide. Imagine tens of thousands of people united in worship, laughter, and fellowship, all centered on the hope we share in Christ. If that stirs something in your spirit, you’re not alone. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you long after the final song.

A Festival Like No Other

Over the past fifteen years, what started as a one-day event (aptly called Big Church Day Out) has blossomed into a three-day celebration that draws families, singles, friends, and groups from all over the world. But it’s more than a music festival—it’s a space where faith and creativity meet in unforgettable ways.

Whether you’re singing your heart out to songs by internationally loved worship artists or soaking in a moment of quiet prayer under a starlit sky, BCF creates room for God to move. For some, it’s a time of refreshment and joy; for others, it’s a moment of profound spiritual renewal. And for many, it’s a place where friendships flourish—some of which may even blossom into something deeper.

Building Community Through SALT

In 2024, SALT, a Christian dating community dedicated to helping believers find relationships rooted in faith, brought something truly special to the festival. Over 450 single Christians joined a dedicated SALT camping area, which quickly became a hub of connection, laughter, and shared worship.

Picture this: a welcoming marquee where icebreakers turn strangers into friends, where acoustic worship sessions create moments of quiet reverence, and where games and mixers spark joy and meaningful connections. Whether it was “Date My Mate” (a fun and encouraging way to celebrate others) or lively singles mixers, the atmosphere was warm, uplifting, and full of possibility.

For many who joined, it wasn’t just about meeting new people—it was about rediscovering the joy of community and the hope that God writes beautiful stories when we trust Him.

What’s Ahead for 2025

Next year, Big Church Festival is raising the bar. With a new August Bank Holiday date, an extra day of activities, and an absolutely stellar lineup, 2025 promises to be the biggest and best year yet. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • A New Long Weekend Format: The festival moves to the August Bank Holiday, creating a perfect end-of-summer celebration.
  • Three Full Days of Worship and Fun: With more time to soak in the music, workshops, and fellowship, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to connect with God and over 30,000 other Christians.
  • An Incredible Lineup: From Brandon Lake to Elevation Worship, Phil Wickham, the Hesler’s and Israel Houghton, the 2025 artist list is already shaping up to be unforgettable.

Why It Matters

I remember a moment last year, standing in a crowd of thousands during a worship set. The music was powerful, but what moved me most was looking around and seeing hands raised, tears flowing, and smiles breaking out all at once. It was a glimpse of heaven—a reminder that we’re not walking this journey alone.

For those of us who are single, it can sometimes feel like the road gets a little lonely. But at events like Big Church Festival, you realize there’s a beautiful community of believers cheering you on. And if you’re willing to step out in faith, you might just find a kindred spirit—or even someone who could become a part of your forever story.

You can arrive when you like but you would need to arrange that yourself, and any age is fine!
