Como cristianos, nos esforzamos por conseguir un amor que refleje el car\u00e1cter de Cristo: amable, paciente y desinteresado. Pero, \u00bfqu\u00e9 ocurre cuando la persona que deber\u00eda quererte y protegerte es la que te causa da\u00f1o? Si est\u00e1s en una relaci\u00f3n abusiva, puedes sentirte atrapado, confuso o incluso culpable. Pero perm\u00edteme ser claro: Dios no llama a Sus hijos a soportar abusos. Nos llama a la sabidur\u00eda, la curaci\u00f3n y la plenitud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-abuse-in-a-relationship\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el maltrato en una relaci\u00f3n?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El maltrato no es s\u00f3lo violencia f\u00edsica. Puede ser emocional, verbal, econ\u00f3mico, sexual o espiritual. Si tu pareja te menosprecia, te a\u00edsla, controla tus decisiones o te hace sentir que no vales nada, son graves se\u00f1ales de alarma. El maltrato distorsiona el amor que Dios dise\u00f1\u00f3 para las relaciones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una vez aconsej\u00e9 a una joven que se sent\u00eda dividida entre su fe y la realidad de su relaci\u00f3n abusiva. Cre\u00eda que quedarse era lo \"cristiano\". Pero las Escrituras nunca nos ordenan permanecer en peligro. Dios es un Dios de justicia, amor y protecci\u00f3n. Si est\u00e1s sufriendo malos tratos, tienes que actuar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-should-christians-do-if-their-partner-is-abusive\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 deben hacer los cristianos si su pareja es maltratadora?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He aqu\u00ed una gu\u00eda clara, b\u00edblica y pr\u00e1ctica para navegar por esta dolorosa situaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-acknowledge-that-abuse-is-not-love\">1. Reconoce que el maltrato no es amor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El amor no hiere, manipula ni controla. 1 Corintios 13:4-7 describe el amor como paciente y bondadoso, no como opresivo o temeroso. Si el comportamiento de tu pareja contradice el amor b\u00edblico, no es amor en absoluto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-reject-the-lie-that-god-wants-you-to-stay\">2. Rechaza la mentira de que Dios quiere que te quedes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En ning\u00fan lugar de las Escrituras te ordena Dios que te quedes con un maltratador. Aunque el matrimonio es sagrado, el maltrato es una violaci\u00f3n de ese pacto. Dios no te llama a sufrir en silencio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-recognize-that-abuse-is-sin\">3. Reconocer que el maltrato es pecado<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los maltratadores suelen tergiversar las Escrituras para justificar su comportamiento. No te dejes enga\u00f1ar. El maltrato es pecado, y Dios se opone a \u00e9l (Salmo 11:5, Colosenses 3:19).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-4-pray-for-strength-and-clarity\">4. Reza por fortaleza y claridad<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La oraci\u00f3n es poderosa. Pide a Dios sabidur\u00eda y valor para dar los pasos adecuados. \u00c9l ve tu dolor y te guiar\u00e1 (Santiago 1:5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-5-talk-to-a-trusted-christian-mentor-or-leader\">5. Habla con un mentor o l\u00edder cristiano de confianza<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No tienes por qu\u00e9 pasar por esto solo. Busca el consejo de un creyente maduro que comprenda el peso de este asunto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-6-set-boundaries-to-protect-yourself\">6. Establece l\u00edmites para protegerte<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No eres responsable de arreglar a tu maltratador. Si se niega a arrepentirse y a cambiar, debes protegerte. Establece l\u00edmites firmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-7-seek-professional-christian-counseling\">7. Busca asesoramiento cristiano profesional<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El maltrato hiere profundamente el coraz\u00f3n y la mente. Un consejero cristiano formado puede ayudarte a procesar tu experiencia y a sanar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-8-document-everything\">8. Docum\u00e9ntalo todo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si te sientes insegura, lleva un registro de los incidentes abusivos. Esto puede ser \u00fatil si es necesario emprender acciones legales o dictar \u00f3rdenes de protecci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-9-don-t-let-shame-or-fear-keep-you-silent\">9. No dejes que la verg\u00fcenza o el miedo te mantengan en silencio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El abuso prospera en secreto. Acude a amigos de confianza, a la familia o a un grupo de apoyo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-10-consider-a-safe-exit-plan\">10. Busca protecci\u00f3n legal si es necesario<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si est\u00e1s en peligro, consigue una orden de alejamiento o implica a las autoridades. Tu seguridad es prioritaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-13-lean-on-god-s-promises\">13. Ap\u00f3yate en las promesas de Dios<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dios es tu refugio (Salmo 46:1). Construye un sistema de apoyo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rod\u00e9ate de personas que te animen y te apoyen en tu viaje de curaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-15-join-a-faith-based-community-that-supports-healthy-relationships\">15. \u00danete a una comunidad religiosa que apoye las relaciones sanas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si buscas un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.be-salt.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Comunidad de citas centrada en Cristo<\/a>considera la posibilidad de utilizar SALT. Conf\u00eda en el plan de Dios para tu futuro<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tu valor no lo define tu pasado ni las palabras de tu maltratador. Dios tiene un hermoso plan para ti (Jerem\u00edas 29:11).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-17-heal-before-pursuing-another-relationship\">17. C\u00farate antes de buscar otra relaci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">T\u00f3mate tiempo para sanar y redescubrir tu identidad en Cristo antes de volver a salir con alguien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-18-encourage-others-who-may-be-struggling\">18. Anima a otros que puedan estar luchando<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tu historia puede ser el est\u00edmulo que otra persona necesita para liberarse de una situaci\u00f3n de maltrato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-19-pray-for-your-abuser-but-from-a-distance\">19. Reza por tu maltratador (pero a distancia)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rezar por el arrepentimiento de tu agresor es b\u00edblico (Mateo 5:44), pero no significa reconciliarte ni exponerte a sufrir m\u00e1s da\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-20-remember-you-are-not-alone\">20. Recuerda: no est\u00e1s solo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dios te ve, te ama y no te ha abandonado. Pide ayuda y camina en la libertad que \u00c9l desea para ti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si t\u00fa o alguien que conoces est\u00e1is en una relaci\u00f3n abusiva, tomaos en serio estos pasos. Hay esperanza, curaci\u00f3n y un futuro m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del dolor. Eres profundamente amada y valorada en Cristo.
